Seventy-four percent of teachers within the 18-county Western Kentucky region are graduates of ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ University due to the priceless academic opportunities offered by the College of Education and Human Services. Our department and programs span a variety of disciplines from elementary education, communication disorders to criminal justice. In fact, more than 1,500 ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ students are engaged with our departments, with about 1,000 of those having already declared education as their major.

ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ began as a teaching college and has built upon this foundation over the years with several esteemed accreditations. We provide students with unique hands-on experiences during their pursuit of an education degree in addition to the very best in traditional classroom experiences. Dr. Ben Littlepage named chair of Kentucky Teachers' Retirement System Board of Trustees

Dr. Ben Littlepage, professor in the Department of Educational Studies, Leadership and Counseling at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ University, has been elected chair of the Board of Trustees for the Teachers' Retirement System of the State of Kentucky (TRS), placing him at the helm of one of the nation's strongest public pension systems serving Kentucky's public educators.
